Key Ingredients For A Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte
Chai Tea Concentrate – I love this Tazo Chai Tea Concentrate, but you can use your favorite brand. You can even make a homemade chai tea with tea bags if you prefer.
Milk – You will need to add milk to your chai tea concentrate. I like to use oat milk or 2% milk. Do what works best for you, most of the flavor is going to come from the pumpkin cream anyways.
Heavy Cream
Sweet Condensed Milk
Pumpkin Puree – Make sure you get pure pumpkin purée and not pumpkin filling!
Vanilla Extract – You can either use a good quality vanilla extract or a vanilla syrup.
Pumpkin Pie Spice – I like to use a premade pumpkin pie spice, but if you can’t find one in your stores you can always make your own. Pumpkin pie spice is a blend of fall spices like cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg, cardamom. Use what you have!

How to Make an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Pumpkin Cold Foam
Step 1: Prepare the Pumpkin Cold Cream
In a small bowl combine the heavy cream, sweet condensed milk, pumpkin purée, vanilla extract and pumpkin pie spice.
Using an electric frother, whip the ingredients until smooth and frothy.
If you don’t have a frother, you can use a blender or even a handheld mixer to help you achieve a frothy cold foam.
Step 2: Assemble the Chai Tea Latte
In a tall glass or cup add some ice. Pour the chai tea concentrate over the ice and then add the milk.
Top the drink with the pumpkin cream cold foam. Spoon a little extra froth on top and garnish with the pumpkin pie spice.
Oh boy! When I tell you this has been my go-to drink all fall season, I’m not lying! My normal iced chai latte is already delicious, but adding in the pumpkin cold foam for the cozy season just makes it 10x better!
Substitutions & Variations
Dairy Free – Use your favorite nut or plant-based milk or creams.
Hot Chai Tea Latte – If you really want a cozy fall drink, warm up your tea and milk in the microwave to your liking and then top with the pumpkin cold foam.
Chai Tea Concentrate – You can steep chai tea bags in hot water and then chill after. The tea will be less sweet than the ones from the grocery store, so you may want to add in extra syrup/extract.
Make Ahead Instructions
I like to prepare a week’s worth of pumpkin cold cream so that I don’t have to worry about it. Plus I don’t like having leftover sweet condensed milk and pumpkin purée.
All you need to do is combine the cold cream ingredients in a large glass or mason jar with a lid.
When you are ready to assemble your latte, take about ¼ cup to ½ cup of the cold cream and froth it!
Storage Instructions
If you choose to make the pumpkin cold foam ahead of time, store it in a jar with an airtight lid. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Pro Tips for the Best Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte Recipe
Use cold ingredients. I’ve learned that working with cold ingredients will help give you a frothier cream. Pop the cream in the fridge or freezer for a couple of minutes before frothing.
Try fun variations. Add espresso and make it a dirty chai tea latte, drizzle with caramel, try a different flavored syrup, make it dairy-free. Have fun with it and make it your own!
