love is in the air
Christmas is over and New Year’s has passed. Now Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching. It’s just one more thing to think about as soon as you’ve packed all your holiday decor away.
More (possible) decorating and gift-giving can be stressful, but I’m here to tell you, it doesn’t have to be.
I love putting a little gift basket together for my kids for every season. If you need some inspiration for Valentine’s gifts for kids, this post is for you.
If you’ve ever asked yourself – How can I make Valentine’s Day special for my kids? Love baskets are a great and simple idea that your littles are sure to love.
Just like the traditional Easter basket, holiday baskets are an extra special treat to give to your little ones. The good thing about these Valentine gift baskets for kids is that they don’t have to be fancy.
As we all know, children are impressed by almost anything. So you can spend as little or as much as you would like on your kid’s love baskets.
I have a system for curating my holiday gift baskets and I switch it up slightly based on the holiday. Here’s my go-to process:
What Can Go In A Valentines Basket?
Gift Basket. To start, you need a basket. I have a collection of baskets that I have found over the years for cheap, that I like to rotate through.
Festive Useful Items. Next, I like to add useful items such as holiday pajamas, socks, sunglasses, slippers, shoes, hair accessories, tumblers, water bottles, etc.
Holiday Book. I always like to add a festive book. This is a good way to build up their book collection.
Fun Items. Lastly, I add a few items that I know my kids will enjoy like a stuffed animal, jewelry, a small toy, a favorite snack or candy, stickers, etc.
Where to Shop
Of course, I like to shop on Amazon, because you can find just about anything you’re looking for on there.
If you want to find more custom items, Etsy is the place to be. I like to get my gift tags from there with my children’s names.
I also like to shop at the Target Bullseye section or the Dollar Tree for cheap little holiday items.
